I had some serious camera issues when we visited Boston, as in, my shutter button was sticking, resulting in numerous photos of the sidewalk, my feet etc. All that to say, I didn’t get many (good) pictures.
Boston is a city filled with history and intelligent (yet rather friendly) folk. Colonial style buildings line cobbled streets, and bars (older than you imagine) inhabit every other corner. It’s worth noting, drinks aren’t cheap in Boston, at all.
I would highly recommend walking the freedom trail, a sign posted route winding it’s way around town to various historical sites, pertaining to the Revolutionary war.
We caught a bus from NYC for a day trip so as always, we were without the time we would have preferred. After a hasty wander about the city and a drink or two at the L Street Tavern (where the bar scene in ‘Good Will Hunting’ was filmed) we boarded our Greyhound and headed back to New York with that familiar feeling of wanting to stay just a little longer.
